A native of Atlanta, Ga, Dr. Paul Q. Fortson has earned degrees from Brevard College, Xavier University of Louisiana, the University of New Orleans, and the Interdenominational Theological Center. Dr. Fortson’s doctoral research in Social Justice & Public Policy focused on engaging an intergenerational, communal conversation about the future of the Church and the communities it serves.

Dr. Paul Q. Fortson has presided in a leadership role of the Church Of God In Christ’s Scholastic Motivational Ministries’ Financial District for over a decade. The Financial District introduces youth to financial concepts through a series of exercises focused on commonly used financial terms and investment concepts. He currently serves as the Assitant National Director for Scholastic Motivation Ministries.

Dr. Paul Q. Fortson is the creator of the Financial District’s Wall Street Project, which introduces youth to the concepts of the stock market through fun interactive capstones and exercises. His programs have been the catalyst of other programs created within the conference.

Dr. Paul Q. Fortson is the founder of the Paradise Community Development Corporation, Inc., a collaborative 501c3 nonprofit located in Forest Park, Georgia where he serves as President of the Board and Chief Operating Officer.

Dr Paul Q. Fortson takes very seriously his commission to mandate to go and teach all nations. As his response to this directive has led him to share the gospel to many local communities while supporting world wide ministries. As an ordain Elder in the Church of God In Christ, Dr. Fortson serves in various capacities. Among them are Jurisdiction Secretary of the Barbados & Caribbean Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction, Sub-Committee Chair for the General Assembly Manual Review Committee, Co-Chair of the Networking Social and College Fair for the AIM Convention, and National Adjutant.

Dr. Paul Q. Fortson is a member of several community boards and associations, including the National Black MBA Association, “The Morehouse College Martin Luther King International College of Ministers and Laity Board of Preachers,” and has also had the honor of serving as Georgia House of Representatives “Chaplain of the Day.” Dr. Paul Q. Fortson also serves as the Social Justice and Community Liaison for the Fulton County Solicitor General’s office.
