PURPOSE:
- In the Bible Deacons acted as treasurers to the bishops. They were the right hand men, representing them in all secular matters. The deacon shall that the authority to teach, to conduct worship services, to assist an elder in administering the Lord’s Supper, providing this authority is given to him by the appointed pastor in charge. To assist with the operational nature of the church in areas such as finance, care of the church building and grounds and other duties as directed by the Pastor.
